Herbs & Botanicals
Herbs have many uses including culinary, medicinal, and even spiritual ones. The green, leafy part of the plant is often used, but herbal medicine may use roots, flowers, seeds, root bark, inner bark, berries and sometimes the pericarp or even some other uncommon portions.
Culinary herbs are different from medicinal herbs. A medicinal herb may be a shrub or other woody plant, but a culinary herb is always soft, edible portion.
Many medicinal as well as recreational drugs, like tetrahydrocannabinol, caffeine, and nicotine come directly from the botanicals.
